Scope
The purpose of the symposium is to bring together scientists and engineers from around the world who are working with compressible media (i.e., supercritical, nearcritical, pressurized, solvating gases, high temperature liquids, gas enhanced liquids) in order that they might share their latest research findings. "Processing" should be considered in the broadest terms to include materials processing, reactions, and process scale separations. We will build upon our previous dynamic programs to provide for maximum exchange of information on techniques-theory- applications-commercialization. The format will consist of:
- invited lecture presentations featuring leading researchers from industry, government, and academia (see Scientific Program)
- conference-long poster sessions (see Call for Posters)
- discussion sessions
- exhibit of state-of-the-art instrumentation and supplies for working with compressible fluids at the analytical, semi-preparative, and preparative scales
- Optional Tutorials -- Newcomers and those interested in review are invited to participate in one-day short courses preceding the symposium on a variety of topics
